Grant allows local school to update technology – WSIL TV

(WSIL) — New Hope Christian Academy in Harrisburg can now take full advantage of their student laptops.

That’s because of a $1500 grant from communications company, Clearwave Communications. The school says that grant money helped them update software on 25 computers all before classes started. The school says students will be able to access digital textbooks and online courses. Their principal says this kind of technology is vital in their classrooms.

“So our students were able to start the school year on time with a laptop in their classroom and achieving academic success, and that’s directly, we thank Clearwave for their generosity and helping us do that.”

The grant is part of Clearwave’s Charitable Giving Fund. Every year, they donate 200,000 dollars to non-profits.
